Subway is Right on Track

Foods

It’s no surprise when customer service at a company receives a complaint. I turned the tables on Subway Restaurants to see how they would handle these kinds of comments…

Dear Subway Complaint Department,

Just a quick note to let you know I stopped by Subway for a Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki sandwich. The food was fantastic! The service was excellent! The bill was added up perfectly! I do not have one single complaint. Not one.

Since you’re the complaint department and I don’t have any complaints, is there anything you would like to complain about to me? What bothers you most about Subway customers? Is there anything above all (other than complaining) that you would like “us” to stop doing?

I have no complaints to serve Subway!

A Subway Customer Service Representative responded with:

Thank you for choosing Subway® Restaurants. We are truly grateful for your kind words regarding our products and appreciate you taking the time to share them with us. We realize that consumers have a large variety of Quick Service Restaurants to choose from and we are glad that you have chose Subway.

Subway takes pride in the thousands of franchises world-wide and the millions of customers that we serve. It is the goal of every owner, manager and employee to produce each sandwich and salad properly made to order. We strive to provide a friendly, efficient, and clean environment, which offers a pleasant dining experience.

It is with the feedback and comments from consumers like you, that provide us the ability to evaluate our products and make Subway® an even better restaurant to visit.

Again, we are glad to hear that you enjoy our products and look forward to introducing many more products in the future for you to enjoy as well.

Don’t forget to visit our web site at www.subway.com for complete nutritional information on our nationally offered products.

Final Thoughts: Even though I offered Subway the opportunity to share what bothers them about customers, they chose to talk about themselves. Maybe they truly love all their customers. Perhaps they are reluctant to reveal their true feelings just in case some crazy consumer plans to post what they write on the Internet. Either way, the Subway I visited is doing things right … and customer service seems to care.

If you feel hungry, think about making your next stop Subway. If you feel like questioning, complimenting or chewing out customer service, then Write The Company.
