Crucial Memory Test

Technology

Posted by WriteTheCompany.com

Thanks to advances in technology there are many ways to improve, upgrade and expand your memory. That’s why I consulted Crucial to see how good their memory is…

Dear Memory Masters:

If my memory serves me correct, your website says you are “The Memory Experts.” Thank goodness because whatever enters my memory is gone in a flash. I already forgot what I was going to write next and had to think of something else.

What is the most amount of memory a computer can hold?

Which has a better capacity for memory: A Mac or PC?

Can you recommend the best memory for storing about a trillion gigamegananobytes of data?

Some people have better memory than other people. I imagine it’s the same with memory products. What gives Crucial memory products superior memory capabilities?

Can one of your technical engineers explain how Crucial can manufacture products that remember all kinds of complicated information, yet the human brain, which most people aren’t even using to full capacity, forgets even simple things like what you had for lunch yesterday? How long do you think it will be before Crucial figures out a way to put memory chips in peoples’ heads?

I had some other questions, but can’t remember what they were. Thanks for answering the ones I did remember.

A Sales & Support Representative responded with:

Thank you for contacting Crucial. We here at Crucial definitely understand memory issues, trust me! I can’t even remember breakfast! If you happen to remember the rest of your questions, please do not hesitate to contact us back. As for the questions you have already asked, let’s see if I can remember.

How much memory a computer can hold entirely depends on the system and the motherboard. In order to tell you how much your system can hold, we would need more information pertaining to manufacturer and model number. As far as which systems have a better capacity for memory (Mac or PC), both have their perks and downsides. Macs have an excellent user interface and plays nice with those who are into video editing and graphic arts, while PC’s tend to be more affordable and compatible with almost all software programs. I would consider neither better than the other.

In reference to the amount of memory you would like to store, I’m afraid we do not make a one trillion gigamegananobyte storage device. However, we do carry Solid-State Drives up to 512GB. If you are interested, we would be more than happy to fill that order.

It is true that some people have better memory than others, and I would agree that it is the same with memory products. Our memory is manufactured by Micron, the leading memory manufacturer in the industry. Our memory is put through rigorous testing each day to ensure longevity and compatibility with each computer system. The memory is made with the highest quality materials possible guaranteeing it to last and to be able to hold up against the most hostile of memory conditions. To guarantee your satisfaction we also provide an award winning customer service program and a limited lifetime guarantee on all Crucial modules sold.

Along with the customer service and superb products, we also offer great prices. Manufacturers sell RAM upgrades as accessories – often at much higher margins, even though the product is no different than the high-quality RAM we sell. Another high point to the great prices we also offer free shipping along with several other shipping methods to fit your needs.

Added to all of these great things we also make finding the right memory for you at the click of a mouse. By visiting Crucial.com you can use the Crucial Memory Advisor if you know your model name and number at the convenience of three easy to use drop down menus. Or you can let the Crucial System Scanner do the work for you. If you use these two tools we can 100% guarantee the upgrade(s) to work with your system.

As for the cranial implant memory, we are currently researching the matter, and we have hit a few speed bumps, but it is a work in progress.

Should you remember anything else you have questions or comments about, please do not hesitate to contact our Customer Service representatives at 1-800-336-8896.

Our hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Mountain Time). At Crucial, we are committed to providing high-quality products and reliable service and support.

Have a great day!

Final Thoughts: It’s refreshing when a support representative responds to questions like a real person. Too many respond as if they were programmed, which unfortunately, is often the case even if they’re not in the computer industry.

There was so much interesting information in this long reply that I had to read it about twenty-six times because every time I got to the last paragraph or two I’d forget what was in the first paragraph or two. Hopefully, Micron and Crucial will get past those cranial implant memory research speed bumps before my cranial capacity for downloading information experiences any further technical difficulties. I also wish keyboard memory could be fooled into not drowning in its own thoughts when a beverage is spilled on the keys.

When I ordered more memory from Crucial.com the support staff was also extremely helpful, courteous and knowledgeable. These are definitely the kind of things customers remember. So if you’re finding yourself short on memory or want to push your memory capabilities to the max, check out Crucial.com. However, to determine whether a manufacturer is willing to chip in answers to all your questions or if they just have a chip on their shoulders, all you need to do is Write The Company.
